We have over 45 years of hands-on experience in all aspects of classic motorcycle maintenance, repairs and restoration for British and Japanese classic motorcycles. We specialise in full or partial engine rebuilds for most makes and models with particular interest and expertise in Norton and Triumph twin cylinder engines. Whether you need a full restoration or routine maintenance, we ensure your bike runs and looks as it should—down to the finest detail. Here are a few of our projects.

Norton Commando Complete Restoration

A 1972 Norton Commando Combat that I restored in 2023, from a complete wreck that hadn’t been used in almost 45 years.

The bike is standard with the exception to several modifications to the engines oil scavenging and breather, it also has a higher compression and bigger carbs than the standard 750 and is fitted with a hotter camshaft, steel rods and a balanced crankshaft making it a joy to ride with power throughout the rev range.

Originally black, as part of the Norton Commando full restoration, the colour was changed to Candy Orange with black and silver decals.

1967 750cc Triton Complete Restoration

A 1967 750cc Triton that is undergoing a full restoration and is nearing completion, this bike has many upgrades to the engine including a billet crankshaft and rods, hot cams and a 750cc top end with competition magneto. This relatively lightweight bike will have plenty of power for the road and good handling.

Wheel Rebuild

This project was for the rebuild of a pair of Norton Commando wheels.

The work included the wheels being disassembled, the hubs were then vapor blasted and polished before full reassembly with new stainless-steel rims and spokes, before truing and balancing.

Rob North Full Rebuild

This Rob North race bike that is road registered and was built in 2022 from the chassis up. The engine has been upgraded from 750cc to 850cc with race cams, Omega pistons, lightened and balanced crankshaft with steel rods, lightweight aluminium clutch and 30mm Amal carbs, making it an exciting bike to ride on the road.

Kawasaki Z900 Full Engine Overhaul

This 1974 Kawasaki Z1A has been lovingly restored by its current owner who entrusted us to carry out a full engine overhaul.

We installed new liners and pistons, new valves and guides and cleaned the casings before reassembly and returning the complete engine to the customer for him to complete the installation.

Norton Commando Roadster

This beautiful 1971 750cc Norton Commando Roadster was fully restored by the owner in 2019. Renegade were asked to carry out the restoration and rebuild of the engine and gearbox while the bike was being restored. Once this project was completed, they were returned to the customer for him to install into his bike to complete the full restoration.
